It is so important to understand exactly what you are buying and 5 years down the road you will want to know who to call if you have a warranty issue. This will probably make your posts last long enough to build TWO fences on the same posts. Use a rot board: Place a horizontal 1x6 or 2x6 at the ground line line below the pickets. This will make your fence about 5.5 to 6" taller and the rot board will take the beating from moisture, rot, and insects. Replacing the rot boards is exceptionally easy (and cheap) compared to replacing the pickets.
